A.G. Nigeria sets to retire the Great Edokpa in grand style
The General Council of the Assemblies of God, Nigeria retires one of her veteran ministers, Rev. Samuel Edokpa in a grand style.
Rev. Edokpa who will be retiring alongside his wife Rev. Mrs. Rachael Edokpa has served both as pastors and teachers in the Assemblies of God Nigeria for over 55 years.
The president whose retirement ceremony has been slated on the 25th October, 2018 at Saminaka in Lere local government of Kaduna state has trained over 70 percent of the existing pastors residing in the Northern parts as well as other parts of the country.
In an interview with the seminary’s students’ leader, Pastor Isaac Urum, “Rev. Samuel Edokpa is an icon, the “Gamaliel” of our time. I can equally call him the Maccabees, the Josephus, the Ambrose that has produced many Titans and is still very active.
He is a Musketeer, a veteran, a leader of leaders, a man of unquestionable character, an embodiment of class and integrity, an eagle that takes the storm and comes out unscathed.” Pastor Urum added.
Though Samuel and Rachael are retiring from active service, they are not tired.
They retire to re-fire. They hope to use the retirement period for reflection and more prayers and counseling the young ones. This he made clear in his biography recently published by his son, Emmanuel Edokpa.
“When I retire, it will be a time of reflection, I will look back and see, whatever God says, that I will do.”
